Laura (Allen) Van den Borre

Laura is a Canadian Certified Pedorthist and owner of Align Pedorthics. During her undergraduate degree, Laura was looking for a way to tie together her interest in being hands on, biomechanics and anatomy, and helping people. After seeing firsthand how debilitating foot and ankle pain can be to her mom and how successful custom orthotics were for her, pedorthics became the perfect fit.

After graduating from Western University in 2012 with a Bachelor of Arts Kinesiology degree, Laura returned to Western for the post-graduate Pedorthics Diploma program the following year where she trained with the Pedorthic Services team in Kitchener. Following graduation Laura found herself in a pedorthic clinic in the Kitchener-Waterloo area. She is now excited to return to the Pedorthic Services team with Align Pedorthics and happy to be back in the multidisciplinary setting where she finds it most beneficial to her patient’s wellbeing and her own continued education. Laura is especially interested in injury rehabilitation and degenerative disease cases.

In her spare time Laura enjoys spending time as much as time as possible with her friends, family and golden retriever and staying as active as possible whether it is running, weight training or training her outdoor fitness class through the summer.
