Kimberly Coates, BA (KIN), Diploma in Pedorthics, C Ped (C)

Kim Coates

Kimberly was introduced to Pedorthic Services through an undergraduate “field placement” course while studying at the University of Western Ontario (UWO). She graduated from UWO in 2003 with her Bachelor of Arts in Kinesiology. In 2005 she graduated from the Diploma in Pedorthics program offered for the first time as a joint venture between the Pedorthic Association of Canada (PAC) and UWO. She successfully completed her Canadian Pedorthics Certification exams the same year and was the recipient of the Howard Feigel Memorial Award established in memory of a man who contributed greatly to the profession of Pedorthics.  Kimberly now works in clinics in Oshawa, Kitchener, and Cambridge.

Kimberly became a member of the PAC Education Committee as a recent graduate in hopes of contributing to the future development of the Diploma in Pedorthics program. The committee is responsible for the continual review of various aspects of the program and the implementation of changes to improve the experience for students and the overall success of the program.

In her free time Kimberly enjoys running. She especially loves trail racing and competed in her first Adventure Race this summer. Now she’s hooked!  Kimberly grew up on a farm in Port Perry and loves spending time there with her family.
