Paula Toye

Paula graduated from the University of Western Ontario with a Bachelor of Arts in Physical Education and Sheridan College with a Diploma in Sports Injury Management.  After 5 years in the athletic therapy field, Paula spent 4 years gaining pedorthic experience in Kingston and Halifax.  She received her American pedorthic certification in 1994 and her Canadian designation in 1997. 

Paula is an active member of the College of Pedorthics of Canada with the Exam Certification Committee acting as an exam proctor since 1997 and the Panel of Experts Committee whose responsibilities are developing and revising exam questions and exam practicum since 2004.  She was an instructor of the Professional Certificate in Pedorthics offered through Continuing Studies at the University of Western Ontario from 2001-2003.  Paula has appeared on Daytime Peel on Rogers TV and CTS’ Real Life.

Paula is known as the “Shoe Guru” by her patients and colleagues.  She believes in the importance of educating her patients on footwear and is a consultant for a group of athletic footwear retailers throughout the Toronto area.  Paula continues her passion for footwear by collecting gently worn footwear to donate to local organizations.  With her years of experience with recreational and professional athletes, Paula’s pedorthic practice specializes in sports injuries and orthopaedic conditions.  A former provincial athlete, Paula is passionate about cycling, hiking, pilates and yoga.
