Shari graduated on the Dean’s List in 1990 from the University of Western Ontario with an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Physical Education degree with a Specialty in Athletic Therapy. A summer job immediately after graduating from Western turned into the establishment of a Pedorthic practice for a former employer in 1991. In 1992, Shari achieved her American Certified Pedorthist designation. After giving birth to two beautiful daughters in 1993 and 1995, Shari created her own Pedorthic practice which continues to thrive to this day. In 2001, in response to the ever changing insurance regulations, Shari also received her Canadian Certified Pedorthist designation. Shari is a certified member of the Pedorthic Association of Canada, the College of Pedorthics of Canada, the American Board for Certification in Orthotics, Prosthetics and Pedorthics and the Pedorthic Footwear Association. Shari is looking forward to her new associations with the Pedorthic Services team!
Shari’s first exposure to Pedorthics was during her time at the University of Western Ontario. While helping in the Kennedy- Fowler Athletic Injuries Clinic, Shari was fortunate enough to regularly see Howard Feigel performing Pedorthic assessments. Not knowing at the time what it was he was specifically doing, little did Shari know Pedorthics would become not only her future career, but a passion! With 18 years of Pedorthic experience, Shari whole heartedly believes improving someone else’s life “One Step at a Time”, is very rewarding!
